In the sleep mode : the system clock will be frozen, that means the Timer1 also can't freerun at this moment.
You only can use the Timer1 with an external 32768KHz crystal for the device wake-up.

I use a PIC16F883 to design a timer relay. Because of the low power consuming, I want use the sleep mode and want the timer1 to still work during the MCU is sleeping. I use the internal oscillator: 32 kHz. timer1 is working in the TIMER mode, not the COUNTER mode.
The question is: I need to wake up the MCU after 160s, what should I do to meet this requirement?
