Microchip 已經將 c18 的版本更新到 v3.20 ，這是一個大改版，最好搭配 MPLAB IDE V8.10 使用。MCC18 v3.20 最新加入功能是可以不用自行加入 LKR 檔，它會自己依據目前所使用的 CPU 自動加入； 也不需再切換有 i (ICD2使用的 LKR 檔） 或沒有 i 的 LKR檔。底下是相關的發表訊息：
There’s a big change in this version: Flexible Linker Scripts. Now there is no need to switch between linker scripts when debugging with MPLAB REAL ICE or MPLAB ICD 2 and then going into a programming mode. This is done automatically when using the Debug/Program pull down. In fact, this new facility allows you to set up a project without specifying any linker script at all –it’s all done automatically for you. This should be a great aid when making new projects, and should be a time-saver for everyone. This new feature requires MPLAB v8.10, which is posted today and available now. See the MPLINK Release Notes and the on-line help for full information. The MPASM/MPLINK manual is being updated and will be available soon, but for now (as always) the most complete documentation is the on-line help.
