有關使用 MPLAB IDE 7.22 與 C18 版本之間的相容性問題

Below is a matrix of scenarios that may help in keeping track of tool compatibility.

Information regarding the change of the COFF file format can be found in the MPLAB IDE/C18/MPASM/MPLINK readmes.



The error message that will be received will be similar to:



MPLINK 4.00, Linker

Copyright (c) 2005 Microchip Technology Inc.

Error - Coff file format for 'C:mcc18lib/c018i.o' is out of date.

Errors    : 1



BUILD FAILED: Tue Oct 25 08:36:29 2005



 

Scenario   MPLAB IDE Version      C18 compiler version         Resolution

---------  ------------------   ------------------------   -------------------------------------

   1          7.21            Upgrade to v3.00        1. In MPLAB IDE, point tool suite to C18 3.00’s MPASM and MPLINK

                              2. Rebuild all object files generated under previous versions of C18.

                                                        

   2       Upgrade to 7.22      C18 v2.40 or below         In MPLAB IDE, ensure tool suite is

                                                                        pointing to C18 v2.40’s 

                              MPASM/MPLINK or upgrade to C18 v3.00.

   

   3       Upgrade to 7.22    Upgrade to v3.00        No action required. All tools compatible.

   

   4       Upgrade to 7.22    No compiler used    Rebuild all object files generated under older MPASM/MPLINK 

                       builds or in MPLAB IDE, point tool suite to an older MPASM/MPLINK.

   

   5        Below 7.21        Upgrade to v3.00        MPLAB IDE will not recognize the new coff file format.  

                                                          Upgrade to MPLAB IDE 7.22.
