這樣來解釋說明一下:
1. 較新版的 MPLAB IDE 用 ICD2 時已區分為 Debug Mode 及 Programmer Mode，兩著之間的設定有些不同: -- 使用 Debug Mode : 有一Release/Debug選項必須設為 Debug ,這樣做主要是將 ICD2 除錯時所需要用到的RAM資源給予保留避免與程式共用造成錯誤。 -- 在Configuration的設定會自動將Debug bit打開以啟動ICD的除錯Module。 -- Debug Mode 燒錄時，最後會將ICD Module要使用到的除錯OS燒到PIC的最後面，讓 PIC課以跟ICD2溝通傳送訊息。 -- 無法單獨執行應用程式，需透過 ICD2 來操作。 2. MPLAB IDE 下使用 ICD2 Programmer Mode: -- 需選擇 Release -- Configuration 自動將 Debug 位元 disable -- 可以單獨執行應用程式。

謝謝
已經在 forum.microchip.com 找出問題點了 主要兩個問題造成我的困擾 一、MPLAB 的 configure->configuration bit 不會顯示 debug 這個選項。 二、PICkit2 programmer 2.4 燒錄的時候不會主動將 debug disable ，而 mplab 會。 而造成我 mplab 燒正常，pickit2 programmer 2.4 不正常。

剛剛試了一下 PKit2 + 16F887 在Programmer Mode 的底下可以正確的將 Configuration Words 的資料燒到 IC 裡。是不是你的程式裡並沒有做 Config. 的設定，直接在 MPLAB IDE 下直接設定呢? 如果程式裡沒有寫 Config. 的設定那 Pickit2 Programmer 就不會有設定資料了。

你好：
我第一次利用 PCI 16F887 配合 app001 來寫程式（採用內部振盪）。 我用 ICD2 debug ，寫完之後，產生 hex file 我用 mplab 7.61 配合 ICD2 or PicKit2 來download 都能正常運作。 但是我用 pickit2 programmer 2.4 配合 Pickit2 來download ，程式卻不法運作。 我交插檢查了一下 我發現 pickit2 programmer 2.4 在燒錄 PIC16F887 時，『不會將 configuration 寫入』。
